2024 Recap
The 16th annual Baltimore Dancesport Challenge, held on March 16, 2024, in Cambridge, MD, was a culmination of passion, skill, and camaraderie in the world of competitive dance. Under the expert guidance of organizer Marielle Pabon, dancers from near and far converged to showcase their talent and love for dance. With a commitment to fostering a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, the event aimed to provide participants with an unforgettable experience filled with fun, friendship, and thrilling competition.
The Baltimore Dancesport Challenge, held on Saturday, March 16th, promised a day filled with exceptional talent and thrilling performances. The event commenced at 8 am with Session 1, featuring a variety of competitions in International Ballroom and Smooth categories, including Pro/Am and Amateur Single Dance Events, 2 and 3-Dance Events, Closed and Open Challenge Events, Scholarship Events, and World Pro/Am Dancesport Series Events. After a delightful lunch break from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, Session 2 kicked off at 2:30 pm, showcasing Latin and Rhythm competitions alongside PT, JR, & Youth International Latin & Ballroom Events. This final session featured Pro/Am Nightclub & Country Western Events, Solos and Formations, Theater Arts performances, and the highly anticipated Professional Show, culminating in the presentation of Top Student, Studio, and Teacher Awards.
