The Indianapolis Open, organized by Rauno and Kristiina Ilo, took place in Indianapolis, IN, from June 27-29, 2024. Normally held in April, the event was rescheduled to June due to a major worldwide event in the city. The competition kicked off with a lively Disco-themed Thursday event, "Love the 80's!" Dancers showcased their talent and enthusiasm, creating a vibrant atmosphere that celebrated both the spirit of the 80s and the elegance of ballroom dancing. The Indianapolis Open will return to its usual April dates in 2025.

Session 2 on Friday matinee showcased Pro-Am American Rhythm and International Ballroom events with single and multi-dance competitions for adults and juniors, along with various challenges and scholarships. Session 3 on Friday evening included Pro-Am and Amateur American Rhythm and International Ballroom events, highlighted by the World Pro-Am DanceSport Series Open Championships and professional competitions. Session 4 on Saturday matinee focused on Pro-Am American Smooth and International Latin events, while the final session on Saturday evening featured more Pro-Am and Amateur challenges, professional show dances, and concluded with awards for top students, teachers, and studios.
