The Desert Classic Dancesport Championships celebrated its 25th anniversary in grand style from July 11-14, 2024, in Palm Desert, CA. Organized by Igor Suvorov, the event embraced the "Silver Anniversary" theme, with participants dazzling in silver or chrome outfits, earning extra points for sequins. The weekend was a spectacular blend of competition and celebration, where ballroom dancers from all levels donned their shimmering best, reflecting the elegance and prestige of the milestone. The silver-themed festivities added a unique charm, turning the dance floor into a radiant sea of sparkle and sophistication.

The Desert Classic Dancesport Championships showcased a dazzling array of dance talent over multiple sessions. The event kicked off with a lively Night Club session, followed by an all-day display of Pro/Am, Student/Student, and Mixed Amateur events, featuring American Smooth and International Latin competitions, scholarships, and championships. The Matinee session highlighted International Ballroom and solo exhibitions, while the evening saw team and individual performances, culminating in the Professional Open Championships and a spectacular Showtime. The subsequent Matinee focused on youth and amateur events, leading to the grand Show of Champions and a celebratory Breakfast Under the Stars. The final day was dedicated to Pre-Teen and Junior competitions, wrapping up with impressive single and multi-dance championships.
